Can anyone join?

Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to hire books from Serendipity Farm Book Hire.

What do I need to do if I want to hire books?

 Contact us using the form on the contacts page.

How do I know which books are in sets for Book Clubs?

In the Book titles list, any book with an asterix after the title is available in sets of up to 10. You can also print out an easy to read summary of Book Club books from the Book Club page.

How do I pay for my books?

Once you have contacted us, we will ask you to pay by direct debit to our bank account. Once the money is received, we will post out or deliver your books.

Do I have to pay postage?

We deliver the books to you. We enclose a Reply Paid sticker for you to return our books. All Book Club sets must be returned together.

What happens if our Book Club is missing a book when it is time to return the set?

The bulk of the books are to be returned using the Reply Paid sticker. The member whose book is outstanding must pay for the return of the book in a package similar to that provided by Serendipity Farm Book Hire. We provide self padded waterproof bags.

Can our Book Club change the number of books each month?

We understand that sometimes members don’t wish to hire a particular book. When you register with us we set aside a set number of books for your group. You can vary this number by 2 only. Just ask your club manager to contact us.

How do I choose the books?

Browse our site and read about the books we offer. When you register we will ask you to make a wish list.

How can I find out if you have a certain title or author?

Use the search facility at the top right hand side of each page. Just type in any word in the title or the author’s surname.

Do we need to prioritise our wish list?

No, you just need to ensure that your wish list is kept up to date. We will send your books when they become available.
